Goals – Different Ways of Looking At Them

Monday, March 12th, 2012

Do you allow your goal to shape your behavior? Or do you let your behavior shape your goal?

I think I fall into the first category. As such, I don’t always meet my goals. Changing the way I do things or how often can be challenging. Old habits are hard to break. Also, I can just be stubborn at times.

Here’s a post about goal setting from The Kaizen Plan that gives some tips on how to meet your goals. Throw out SMART Goals if they haven’t worked for you before and try these instead.

Making a Difference

Share a time when writing, yours or someone else’s, has “made a difference”.

2012 Goals

Monday, February 13th, 2012

I know, I know. The new year started over a month ago and it’s the day before Valentine’s Day. Surely, you’d think, I could come up with a more timely writing exercise for this Monday.

Well, you’d be wrong :-p

It was when I was looking over my list of goals for 2012 that I realised we, as a writing community, hadn’t shared our 2012 writing goals with one another yet this year. We should fix that.

What are your goals for 2012?

What are you doing to help yourself reach them?

How is it going so far?

~ Rhonda
