I’m a week late in posting my writing prompt for Monday. I hope you have fun with this one. Write a story which involves a fortune teller machine. If you’re working on a novel, you can even write it into a scene. Good luck! |
I’m a day late with the Monday exercise. This one is a bit different from ones we’ve done in the past. At some point, you may have the opportunity to pitch your novel to a publishing house. But you only have three sentences. The trick is to use well constructed sentences – not ones that are 25 words each with lots of commas. These can also be used in your NaNoWriMo profiles. Can you do it? Examples
Good luck! |
I’m late in posting Monday’s Writing Exercise. So write about a bad habit in 500 words or less. Remember, it must have a beginning, a middle and an end to count as a short story. Good luck! |
Use the following first line for your next story or novel. “I shouldn’t have opened the door.” Good luck! |
If you can fit in the words of state, perfection, skewered, epitome, and wings into your novel, short story or poem, you are awesome! Good luck. |
If you can, try and fit the following words into your poem, short story or novel. Good luck!
case, beverage, swift, rhino, grey. |
For today let’s all use the same topic for this Monday’s writing exercise: mutant rabbits. Good luck and happy writing! |
As always, try and fit the words listed below into your work. Good luck! Installment, coffee, murder, distasteful, and wash. |
How was your Writo de Mayo? We’re back to the regularly scheduled writing prompts so I thought today we’d try some flash fiction. Flash fiction tells a story with strong characters in approximately 1000 words or less. So write about world domination in 850 words or less. Go! |
